01 / THE OPPORTUNITYTHE BUSINESS DECISION

01Use verified sales to determine the ranking.

02Show social conversation as a distinct information layer.

03Give operators a clear publication and moderation workflow.

MAKE THE RANKING’S BASIS UNAMBIGUOUS.

A campaign can generate both sales and conversation. Those signals answer different questions. When a public leaderboard represents sales performance, the audience and the operating team need a clear understanding of what determines the result.

The engagement defined a campaign microsite combining a sales-driven leaderboard, a regional view, licensed social listening, and an administrative console. A working proof-of-concept basis informed the delivery scope.

Campaign owners should establish the ranking rule and the source of each displayed measure before launch. That gives the team a defensible way to publish updates and correct an underlying record.

02 / THE OPERATING EXPERIENCETHE WORK, MADE VISIBLE

TWO DATA LAYERS. CLEAR OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES.

01

SHOW WHAT DETERMINES THE RANK.

In the scoped design, the public leaderboard uses a client-provided weekly sales snapshot that has passed ingestion validation. The regional view uses the same snapshot, giving the campaign a consistent reporting basis.

02

GIVE CONVERSATION ITS OWN PLACE.

The scoped social layer uses licensed listening and enrichment to support the displayed campaign conversation. This content sits beside sales performance and has no role in calculating the rank.

THE DECISIONWhat does the social layer add to the campaign experience?

Campaign conversation: Campaign posts appear in a separate social view. Illustrative data.

03

MAKE PUBLICATION OPERABLE.

The administrative scope covers sales entry or upload, logs, export, and an immediate hide control for social posts. These surfaces give campaign operators a concrete way to manage updates and corrections.

THE DECISIONWho checks a sales update and handles content that needs to be hidden?

Publishing console: An operating console separates sales publication from social moderation. Illustrative data.

03 / THE ENGINEERINGTHE SYSTEM BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE

THE DATA BOUNDARY PRESERVES THE CAMPAIGN RULE.

The documented design places sales and social information in logically separate stores. Dated sales snapshots determine leaderboard and regional calculations; social ingestion and enrichment support a separate display layer.

This separation is an operating requirement as well as a technical one. A social moderation action should affect the displayed conversation, while a sales correction should update the relevant sales snapshot and its derived ranking.

  1. 01

    VALIDATE

Check the sales file and reporting period.

  2. 02

    PUBLISH

Calculate the ranking from the sales snapshot.

  3. 03

    LISTEN

    Ingest licensed campaign conversation separately.

  4. 04

    OPERATE

Manage sales corrections and social moderation.

04 / THE PATH TO OPERATION

TEST THE RULE BEFORE THE CAMPAIGN WINDOW.

Acceptance should reconcile the ranking and regional view against the same sales file, verify correction handling, and confirm that social changes cannot alter sales results. Operators also need a clear process for content removal.

The screens illustrate the scoped engagement and its proof-of-concept basis. Launch status and campaign results require separate evidence.

WHAT TO ESTABLISH
  • Rank and regional totals reconcile to the sales snapshot.
  • Sales corrections retain the intended reporting period.
  • Social moderation leaves the sales ranking unchanged.
